Get started with CORTAN Connect

Use Get Started for the contractor application, whether you work solo or run a team. It starts your application review; it does not create an account or activate a subscription.

  1. Share your business name, contact name, email, trade, service area, and team size.
  2. Agree on your onboarding plan and terms with CORTAN.
  3. With approved access, set your branding, diagnostic pricing, service area, and availability.
  4. Invite a small group of existing customers through the agreed onboarding process.

Confirm the visit before dispatching

  1. Set working hours, service area, and unavailable dates.
  2. Review the request, property, diagnostic amount, and proposed time.
  3. Confirm the visit with the customer and check the required diagnostic consent.
  4. Assign the technician or crew. Review the next job and arrival instructions in the technician workspace.

An offered alternate time is not a confirmed appointment. The route view uses manual stop ordering and travel buffers. Availability changes do not automatically cancel previously confirmed work.

Request service from your contractor

  1. Choose the property, explain the issue, and select the urgency.
  2. Review the diagnostic price and confirmed appointment.
  3. Follow the status and review any recommended additional work.
  4. Approve the displayed scope and price, ask a question, or decline.
  5. Return to the service history and receipt after completion.

Optional technician tracking applies only to the assigned visit when a current location is being shared. For urgent service, contact your contractor directly.

Separate the visit fee from additional work

Your contractor sets the diagnostic fee. Recommended repairs require a separate scope, price, and customer decision.

Diagnostic authorization

The customer accepts the displayed diagnostic terms before confirmation. Authorization begins when the assigned technician starts traveling. The visit fee may remain payable after diagnosis even if repairs are declined.

Completion and payment

A payment hold and a completed charge are different states. Completion, payment status, and the receipt stay with the job. Payment methods, charges, refunds, and payout terms are confirmed during business setup.

Temporary service, with customer consent

Coverage is designed for a request that a preferred contractor cannot take. The customer must agree to temporary service from another eligible contractor.

  • The record distinguishes the preferred business from the servicing contractor.
  • The preferred-provider relationship does not automatically change.
  • Eligibility, availability, consent, and participation terms apply.

Coverage depends on provider availability, eligibility, and customer consent. It is not a guaranteed emergency response or an open public matching service.

Use the access issued to you

The application checks identity, roles, and business/customer permissions on the server. Managed internal support access has specific MFA controls; account requirements are explained during onboarding.

  • Do not send passwords, one-time codes, payment details, or private customer records by email.
  • For help, share the affected page and a short description. Redact screenshots.
  • Public interest forms are stored privately for CORTAN review.
